Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys launched their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter launch and it was an instantaneous success. Overall, the unique V911 was a very nice package deal. However, misses include the fragile wire-thin skids, flexible frame, glued parts, noisy canopy, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, lack of ability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nostril diving flight characteristics. 
At first glance, WL-Toys definitely addressed the frame and skids. The frame is now a lot stronger, and so are the touchdown skids. The skids are connected to the body by 2 screws, so they won’t simply get separated. The canopy is far lighter and extra versatile than before.
