Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys launched their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter launch and it was an instant success. Overall, the unique V911 was a really good package. However, misses include the fragile wire-thin skids, flexible body, glued components, noisy cover, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, inability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nostril diving flight traits. 
At first look, WL-Toys positively addressed the frame and skids. The body is now a lot stronger, and so are the touchdown skids. The skids are connected to the body by 2 screws, so that they won’t simply get separated. The canopy is much lighter and more flexible than before.
