Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys introduced their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter release and it was an on the spot success. Overall, the original V911 was a very nice package. However, misses include the delicate wire-thin skids, versatile frame, glued components, noisy cover, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, incapability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nostril diving flight characteristics. 
At first glance, WL-Toys positively addressed the frame and skids. The body is now much stronger, and so are the touchdown skids. The skids are attached to the body by 2 screws, in order that they received’t easily get separated. The canopy is much lighter and extra versatile than before.
