Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys launched their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter launch and it was an immediate success. Before long, the V911 is a household name. Since its initial release, the V911 notorious “CORTER” typo and the separating swash plate were fixed. The Rx has gone through many revisions for minor tweaks, and the battery connectors have been changed. Otherwise, the basic V911 design was untouched since its introduction. Overall, the unique V911 was a very good bundle. However, misses embrace the fragile wire-thin skids, versatile frame, glued components, noisy cover, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, inability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nose diving flight traits. 
At first glance, WL-Toys undoubtedly addressed the frame and skids. The body is now much stronger, and so are the touchdown skids. The skids are connected to the body by 2 screws, so they received’t easily get separated. The canopy is much lighter and more versatile than earlier than.
