Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys launched their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter launch and it was an prompt success. Before long, the V911 is a household name. Since its preliminary launch, the V911 infamous “CORTER” typo and the separating swash plate were fixed. The Rx has gone through many revisions for minor tweaks, and the battery connectors have been changed. Otherwise, the fundamental V911 design was untouched since its introduction. WL-Toys then shifted their focus to Quadcopters. Despite its large success, the unique V911 will not be with out flaws. This V911-Pro is a protracted overdue replace and an attempt to fix issues. Overall, the unique V911 was a very good bundle. However, misses embrace the delicate wire-thin skids, flexible frame, glued elements, noisy cover, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, incapability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nostril diving flight characteristics. 
At first glance, WL-Toys positively addressed the frame and skids. The frame is now a lot stronger, and so are the landing skids. The skids are connected to the body by 2 screws, so that they won’t easily get separated. The canopy is far lighter and extra flexible than before.
