Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys launched their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter launch and it was an instantaneous success. Overall, the original V911 was a very good package. However, misses include the delicate wire-thin skids, flexible frame, glued components, noisy cover, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, lack of ability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nostril diving flight traits. 
At first look, WL-Toys positively addressed the body and skids. The body is now much stronger, and so are the landing skids. The skids are attached to the frame by 2 screws, in order that they won’t simply get separated. The cover is way lighter and extra versatile than before.
