Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys introduced their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter release and it was an instant success. Overall, the original V911 was a really nice package. However, misses include the fragile wire-thin skids, flexible frame, glued elements, noisy canopy, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, lack of ability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nose diving flight characteristics. 
At first look, WL-Toys positively addressed the body and skids. The body is now much stronger, and so are the landing skids. The skids are attached to the frame by 2 screws, in order that they won’t simply get separated. The cover is much lighter and extra flexible than before.
