Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys introduced their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter release and it was an instantaneous success. Overall, the original V911 was a very good package deal. However, misses include the fragile wire-thin skids, flexible body, glued elements, noisy canopy, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, incapability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nose diving flight traits. 
At first glance, WL-Toys positively addressed the body and skids. The frame is now much stronger, and so are the touchdown skids. The skids are connected to the frame by 2 screws, in order that they received’t easily get separated. The canopy is much lighter and more versatile than before.
