Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys introduced their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter release and it was an immediate success. Overall, the original V911 was a really good bundle. However, misses include the fragile wire-thin skids, versatile body, glued parts, noisy canopy, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, lack of ability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nostril diving flight traits. 
At first glance, WL-Toys positively addressed the body and skids. The body is now much stronger, and so are the touchdown skids. The skids are attached to the frame by 2 screws, so that they gained’t easily get separated. The cover is much lighter and more flexible than before.

Daarnaast is de main-frame en het landingsgestel versterkt voor extra stabiele vluchten en landingen. Een groot voordeel van de nieuwe V911-Pro is dat u nieuwe onderdelen gemakkelijk kan vervangen.
