Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys launched their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter launch and it was an immediate success. Overall, the unique V911 was a really good bundle. However, misses include the fragile wire-thin skids, flexible body, glued components, noisy cover, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, inability to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nose diving flight characteristics. 
At first glance, WL-Toys definitely addressed the frame and skids. The frame is now a lot stronger, and so are the touchdown skids. The skids are hooked up to the body by 2 screws, in order that they received’t easily get separated. The cover is much lighter and extra versatile than before.
