Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys introduced their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter launch and it was an immediate success. Before long, the V911 is a household name. Since its preliminary launch, the V911 notorious “CORTER” typo and the separating swash plate had been fixed. The Rx has gone through many revisions for minor tweaks, and the battery connectors have been changed. Otherwise, the basic V911 design was untouched since its introduction. Overall, the unique V911 was a really good package deal. However, misses include the delicate wire-thin skids, versatile frame, glued elements, noisy canopy, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, incapacity to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nostril diving flight characteristics.
