Inspired by the Nine Eagles Solo Pro, WL-Toys introduced their first V911 in late 2011. It was their first RC helicopter launch and it was an instant success. Overall, the original V911 was a very good package deal. However, misses include the fragile wire-thin skids, versatile body, glued elements, noisy cover, flybar strikes, bucking horse flights, incapacity to penetrate wind, hypersensitive yaw, and the nostril diving flight characteristics. 
At first glance, WL-Toys undoubtedly addressed the frame and skids. The body is now a lot stronger, and so are the landing skids. The skids are attached to the body by 2 screws, so they won’t simply get separated. The cover is far lighter and more versatile than earlier than.
